fast food and your health

Everyone knows that fast food is unhealthy, but why?, you may ask. The main reason why fast foods are bad for your body is the high concentration of cholesterol, saturated fats, salt, and sugar. Firstly, cholesterol is needed to lubricate the joints but when too much is eaten it can lead to atherosclerosis, in other words, clogging of the arteries and veins with cholesterol. Secondly, trans fats accumulate around the abdominal area, and most people find this a negative factor of fast food. Adding to that it is much harder to work off. As with salt it contains high levels of cholesterol. Sugar will turn into fat if not burned off immediately, sugar also causes tooth decay.
